Day One
We hit the ground runnin’ as soon as we got to New York City. The kids had been dying to go to FAO Schwarz after we told them all about it. It was the first thing on our to do list.
It was a rainy day, so we ran to the Lego store before heading back to the hotel for a while. We stayed near Central Park at the Parker Hotel. We couldn’t rest for too long because we had to hit up Black Tap for burgers and HUGE shakes! After that we saw Frozen on Broadway. It was phenomenal!
Day Two
We planned to go to the Bronx Zoo the next morning, but we woke up a little late. The Central Park Zoo was nearby, so we took a walk and enjoyed seeing a few animals. We loved the snow leopard and red panda the most! Israel especially enjoyed a toy store (West Side Kids) that we found that day. We ate at Angelo’s Pizza for lunch.
That evening we were able to go to Yankee Stadium for a play-off game. This has been one of Jared’s dreams for as long as he could remember. The kids knew nothing about baseball, but they loved it anyways!
Day Three
Jared and I have been to New York a few times, but we have never visited the Statue of Liberty together. Israel was 100% sure that he needed to see Lady Liberty. Jared found a speedboat that took us to see all the sights up the Hudson River. It was actually a pretty incredible experience! We used New York Media Boat, and we all loved it! After the tour we had lunch in China Town at Wo Hop.
That night we ate dinner at John’s Pizzeria in Times Square. We chased that down with some cheesecake from Juniors. It was a delicious evening! After dinner and dessert we were thrilled to be able to see Aladdin on Broadway again. It is definitely a family favorite!
We had such a great time in NYC. It was busy, fast, but very fun!
