Well, it has been 9 months since I have posted on our family blog. A lot has changed around here, but instead of going backwards to fill in the gaps I’m just going to start from today and hope I can keep up! Chances are I will fall behind again… life gets busy around here!
Our family is on vacation in Maui. It’s one of our very favorite locations to visit… the sun, cool breeze, morning rain, beautiful rainbows, yummy food, snorkeling spots, and relaxing environment…it’s pretty much perfect!
On our first morning we headed to The Gazebo for breakfast. The pancakes and fried rice… YUM! Right past the restaurant there are tide pools that entertain the kids for quite some time while waiting to be seated. They had the best time looking for fish and shells!
After breakfast we went to Napili Bay to snorkel with the turtles. The whole family braved the rough waters to swim with dozens of turtles! The kids definitely earned their beach time that day!
We weren’t sure how Israel would like the beach, but it turns out he loves the sand just as much as Joelle. They were covered from head to toe! I have a feeling we will be finding sand in our clothes and toys for the next several months!
On Day Two we went to Kapalua Beach since it is near our condo. The kids quickly found their way to the sand!
Israel had the best time squirming as the water rose up all around him!
One of Joelle’s favorite things to do is clothe herself in the sand. I don’t get it, but boy does it make her happy!
All the smiles!
Papa took both of them out on the paddle board for a little adventure!
After napping and washing up we made the trek up to Haleakala to watch the sunset. Jared and I have done this four times and it NEVER gets old! Seeing God’s creation and beauty just takes your breath away.
This girl has grown up so much over the past few years but one thing remains the same… she LOVES her Papa.
I sure am blessed to do life with this guy!
We have a lot of discussions with our kids about how BIG our God is, but there’s just something about being able to have experiences like this that makes it click. Israel quickly learned that Jesus made the clouds and Jesus made the sun. Praying these special moments make an impact on their hearts as they learn to trust and follow God.
We have ourselves one kissy boy! He’s always planting kisses all over our face.
I can’t leave out the fact that we are vacationing with some of our favorite people!!! The Kings are here with us… putting up with our children and Jared’s jam-packed travel plans!
