It’s no secret that Christmas is our favorite time of the year. We have so many fun family traditions that we just keep adding to year after year. Whether it’s Christmas Eve jammies, pictures with Santa, or watching every single Christmas movie ever made…. we just love it all!
Every year we make homemade ornaments. I’m thankful that at the ages of 9 and 12 our kids are still begging to do this!
Since Israel is such a Lego fan we also make Lego Christmas ornaments. They have the best little Christmas sets for kids.
We are also keeping up with our annual felt ornaments. You can read all about that tradition HERE. Here are the ornaments I chose for the kids to represent the year of 2021.
Joelle: Lion and Elephant to represent our trip to Tanzania (we saw our first lion with a big mane!), Skier for our Park City trip, Volleyball (first year of playing school volleyball), and a humpback whale for our Maui trip.
Israel: Crocodile and Lion for our trip to Tanzania, Humpback for our trip to Maui, Football for his first time playing flag football, and a cross to represent when He decided to follow Jesus!
I just search all over Etsy for felt ornaments. I try to start ordering in October so that they plenty of time to arrive before Christmas.
