All Aboard! Disney Cruise

December 22, 2018

Well, I’m a little late to posting this, but I wanted to share a little more about our Disney Cruise that we took over Thanksgiving Break! Jared and I have been on many many cruises throughout our marriage. We love Royal Caribbean, but we LOOOOOVVVVVEEEE Disney Cruises. They literally do every single thing right. The decorations, service, activities, characters, movies. It’s all done with that Disney Magic. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite moments!

The Christmas characters are our favorites! We love us some Goofy!
Of course Israel was THRILLED to see Spiderman on the boat!
One of the kids’ favorite nights is always Pirate Night. Everyone dresses up as pirates and there is a Pirate Party on deck after dinner… followed by FIREWORKS (amazing!) and a late night BUFFET!!!
One of the nice things about Disney cruises is you get to see LOTS of Disney movies! We just happened to be on board while Wreck It Ralph 2 released. They did a midnight premiere (that actually started at 11, thankfully!). Our kids were THRILLED to stay up late!!!
Chip and Dale were a hoot! Israel just kept snuggling up to their comfy costumes!
Disney Cruise Line hosts a 5K on their island, Castaway Cay. Jared and Joelle ran the whole thing which was HUGE for her! She normally runs a mile a few times a week, but she has never ran that much at once before! She may have been in tears at the end, but she did it! Meanwhile, Israel and I walked most of it. He would run for 10 seconds and need a break. Then we decided to cut corners and cheat pahahahaha!
Mama Pam brought the kids lots of games to play while on the cruise. We HIGHLY recommend bringing things to do while waiting for characters, shows, activities, etc. Since our kids do not have electronic devices, we have to be very strategic! Plus, they LOVE playing games as a family.
Speaking of Mama Pam… we got to decorate gingerbread men on Thanksgiving morning. Mama Pam taught Joelle all of her decorating tips and tricks. Israel pretty much ate candy the whole time ๐Ÿ˜‰
We went fishing in Nassau and the kids caught so many different kinds of fish! They kept reeling them in and Jared was having zero luck. He finally caught one and it was the smallest of the day. Definitely a trip highlight, ha!
Another one of our favorite things on the boat is the drawing classes they have several times throughout the week. They teach you how to draw different Disney characters. The kids could do that ALL day long and be perfectly happy!
One morning they offered a character breakfast. It was “free,” but you do have to sign up for it pretty early on. Some of the Disney Junior characters came around for pictures while we were eating ๐Ÿ™‚
Of course the very best part of the cruise was WHO we spent it with! Nothing beats going on vacation with some of your favorite people!

If you’ve never been on a Disney Cruise, we would definitely recommend moving it to the top of your Bucket List!
